Lyrics

"Hell Hollow Boys" by Joe Nagele in "G" train country blues (SPOKEN) I grew up on a dirt road named Hell Hollow Road. Child I was scared to tell people the name of the road. Think that they thought he was evil. Mother Mary, Father Joseph, Brother John and the eldest Chris-tine. Brother John got in trouble in school for writing his address. The teacher thought he was being funny and mean. (VERSE 1) In the, Pennsylvania Mountains there's a hunter named Joe Up on, top of Jonas Mountain its where the hunters always go In the, Pennsylvania Mountains there's a hunter named Joe Up on, top of Jonas Mountain its where the hunters always go I will tell you in this Song hunt where the sign is gone. (CHORUS) Call the Hell Hollow Boys (Hell Hollow Boys) Where are the Hell Hollow Boys (Hell Hollow Boys) Call the Hell Hollow Boys (Hell Hollow Boys) There's the Hell Hollow Boys (Hell Hollow Boys) Don't you be-lieve in the Devil Cause the animals make all the noise (SPOKE) Hell Hollow Road sign is the most stolen sign in Monroe County. The road turns to dirt and seems to go no where for eternity. Drive up that road and when you get to Wild Creek reservoir, Turn to North 40 in the dark you will hear the horror. (VERSE 2) In the Pennsylvania Mountains In-gins did a sacrifice Up on top of Indian Mountain animals were sacrificed In the Pennsylvania Mountains In-gins did a sacrifice Up on top of Indian Mountain animals were sacrificed On a rock where they laid the dead They left them there as they bled (Chorus) Call the Hell Hollow Boys (Hell Hollow Boys) Where are the Hell Hollow Boys (Hell Hollow Boys) Call the Hell Hollow Boys (Hell Hollow Boys) There's the Hell Hollow Boys (Hell Hollow Boys) Don't you be-lieve in the Devil Cause the animals make all the noise (HARP SOLO) (SPOKEN) Now you go up on the Hill, one mile to the dirt Its way up in the Hollow, Daniel Boone he got hurt The gang up on the , they got guns knives and bows Don't you let them see or smell you, what'll happen I don't know (Verse 3) Up on Blue Mountain the bears are in the woods On the base of blue mountain big ol' black bear there he stood Up on Blue Mountain the bears are in the woods On the base of blue mountain big ol' black bear there he stood If you ask me a question I'll answer, "Do bears shit in the woods?" (CHORUS) (SPOKEN) Joe taught me to hunt, scout, but not to, "kill just to kill". How to rattle call, bleep and not to Fall. Walk through the woods look for scrapes, buck rub, doe in heat Buck bomb Gertrude the decoy, rest and take a seat. (VERSE 4) In the, Pennsylvania Mountains I'm a hunter named Joe Up on, top of Jonas Mountain its where the hunters will go In the, Pennsylvania Mountains I'm a hunter named Joe Up on, top of Jonas Mountain its where the hunters should know I will tell you in this Song, hunt where the sign is gone.
