Description
When I wrote beeswax, many years ago, I wanted to write a song that would make people think about the lyrics when they listened to it. It has a lot of hidden meaning and some of it can be misunderstood, but that's how I wanted it, as in life some things can have hidden meanings. Only if we look twice at something or "listen" to something again canwe find the true nature of what is being described.
Lyrics
Beeswax melting away, And the honey is left in your mouth, Tastes nice, though underneath, There's a demon waiting to come out. Roses, spread on a field, Feels nice underneath foot, But the thorns lie, hidden away, 'Til they're painted in blood. Nothing's What it seems, Anymore, Everything seems to change, In a curious mist, of innuendos, Questions and Black and White lies, Then, I, realise. A friendly clown waves to say high, Even though he's done 10 for assault. A Father chastises, then realises, It is he who is really at fault. It seems so strange, How it all can change, Just in the blink of an eye. Well I'm sick of it all, I want to let go, Then I realise. . . Nothing's What it seems, Anymore, Everything seems to change, In a curious mist, of innuendos, Questions and Black and White lies, Then, I, realise.
