Description
I wrote "The Long Highway" based on the fact that sometimes in life there comes a time when we have to make a choice. Even if it means losing everything we hold dear.
Lyrics
I buried a contradiction, Under a hypocrite's sky, Followed my heart into nowhere, Couldn't see eye to eye.. Made a home out of nothing, And nowhere is where I would be. When your dreams suddenly turn into nightmares, Can you wake from them, Just to be free? Will I ever get what I ask for, Or sacrifice everything first? Just to seek some retribution, Without somebody else getting hurt, All that I want is direction, Without all the roads having dead ends, But it seems when I get satisfaction, I don't know what to do with it. Well follow me down this long highway, And I'll try not to get us both lost, And the price that you pay for adventure, Can sometimes outweigh all of the costs, And if this is what you're really after, Then there's no need to doubt what is true, Because time waits for no man or woman, And this man he can't wait for you. Well I buried a contradiction, Under a hypocrite's sky, Followed my heart into nowhere, Couldn't see eye to eye.. Made a home out of nothing, And nowhere is where I would be. When your dreams suddenly turn into nightmares, Can you wake from them, Just to be free?
