In 1988 I was encouraged to write a song about Vancouver, Clark County, the State of Washington, and the people in it; for the 1989 Washington State 1989 Cententennial Celebration. I did, and it was accepted as an Official Contribution to the 1989 Washington State Centennial.

100 Yeare Of Heaven (Clark County Centennial Style) Vancouver is a city in the State of Washington Clark County is the place I proudly tell them all I'm from We've got the cleanest rivers and we've got the greenest trees and that's why Clark County Washington's the only place for me. A patriotic homeboy it was here that I was born In old St. Josephs' Hospital one sunny August morn The first days of my life they say were really touch and go And the prayers of those sweet sisters saved me forty years ago.
