Repente

An avant-garde musical experiment -one piano played ten hands! This 'single piano orchestra' uses techniques based on Cage's experiments to broaden the possibilities of sounds produced by the piano. The musicians move from the inside to the bottom of the piano, using drumsticks and inserting objects on the strings. The timbres range according to the density, weight, and texture of the objects. “Repente” was composed by PianOrquestra, based on the popular Brazilian rhythm by the same name.
