Lyrics

Veering by Vic Zarley I traveled on the steepest path To find I slid back down I traveled into people's wrath I've seen them turn around I've rambled in a circle I've trudged on through a square And everywhere I've traveled I was expected there And though it seems my path's a scrawl A squiggle on some map And though sometimes it seems I fall And all my strength is sapped And though I've listened carefully To those who say they know I've listened to God's Spirit in me And found the way to go Is not a path that's straight and true Toward some far distant goal But slowly stepping right on through Though round-about I go Vision by Vic Zarley Settling like a fog In the morning countryside God's Spirit takes us slowly Into areas untried And brings us into being So much greater than before And gives us just a little glimpse Of something so much more God's Spirit's like a fog light Penetrating through The misty heavy voodoo dreams That mankind one time knew God's Spirit's like the ocean spray That's gentle, yet a force That breaks down all unmoving things And sets them on their course Spreading like a lava stream Glowing in the night Our vision is improving With increasing inner sight Bursting like a geyser Quenching thirst all through the land As water goes, God's Spirit flows Out through the soul of man
