“Lines” © Elyse Nichole Miller 2010 The lines deepen daily The lines draw out my face As I trace my mistakes And the errors, still fresh Can’t be erased I’m traveling along The same path I once made And the holes I didn’t fill Still wait I’m folding into old clothes The lines fold my life like a paper And when I am creased with age I’ll embrace these mistakes if I’m able And these errors will fade, will fade
