Get It While It's Hot is a song about 'keeping up with the Jones'... having the newest, shiniest, whatsit on the block ... until you're at the point where you're handcuffed by your freedom to buy-buy-buy. I wrote this one after a long discussion with my 12 year old son about the reasons why his friends all wanted to dress the same; act the same; BE the same. I guess he just got me thinking...
