The Baptism

The ultimate in bitter breakup songs, "The Baptism" was written as a cathartic response to a failed relationship. With an ear for the epic over the "emo," this melodramatic song sounds, at times, like the soundtrack to a Hollywood action film. The pounding African poly-rhythms, the demonic "Beach Boys" chorale over hellish church organ, and the heavy “balls-to-the-wall” ending make "The Baptism" the most eclectic track on the "The Fruit Fallen".
