The song is completely personal for singer Corey Finnell, who adds, "I threw away all metaphors and just went for it, dropping names of real girls and real feelings I've experienced throughout my life. If I had to describe the song in one word, it would be 'honest.' I don't know who or what a teenage geezer is, but for me it's a man realizing he's acting too old to be so young, or vice versa."
