Description
This is the title track of my debut record that was released in 2009. One morning, I woke up and this song just hit me; I wrote it in about an hour on the wurlitzer that was in the old shed with the red door at our old place. Weather fascinates me. I could’ve been a weather girl.
Lyrics
There's a siren soundin on this Sunday mornin’ Drowning out that ringing church bell Homeless man on the corner hungry and tired Doesn't he have some family somewhere? Should've been a weather girl ‘Cause their not always right Should've been a weather girl Neither am I If I was a weather girl I'd have it rain every night And everyday there’d be a blue sky Talkin on the TV Politics, war, and pain I just turn it off, I only think they do the same I do my part and smile at someone I don't know Hopin’ they pass it off to another come tomorrow Should've been a weather girl ‘Cause their not always right Should've been a weather girl Neither am I If I was a weather girl I'd have it rain every night And everyday there’d be a blue sky Who doesn’t love a sunny day? What farmer doesn't need the rain? All the grass would be greener, not just on the other side If I was a weather girl If I was a weather girl I’d have it rain every night And everyday there’d be a blue sky
