Lyrics

It was a long way home across the 84, been raining non stop for a day or more, trucks were passing by the waves were hittin' the car, I knew right then that we couldn't get far, so I pulled off the road and I called my mom, told her better start prayin I can get us home and as I pulled away, I heard my little boy say... Chorus: Hey momma, I can see Jesus on the hood of the car, he's all lit up like a shooting star, no need to worry we'll be home alright, He's gonna watch over us all through the night, we'll be home soon, can you see him too? I looked at my boy, his eyes filled with wonder at the sight, and then I knew, we're gonna be alright. For the rest of the drive the roads were clear and dry, not a drop of rain fell down from the sky, knew it was a miracle we made it home, without any doubts I knew we weren't alone, as I carried my boy through our home's front door, looked at his sweet little face, we were safe once more, I tucked him into bed, remembering what he said. Chorus: Repeat 1st line of chorus <retard> end.
