He Was

"He was" is an old Hebrew praise that is still today recited in synagogues around the world. The original name is "Master of the Universe" or "Adonolam". This song was originally written by the prophet Balaam in the bible who was told to curse Israel, but could only bless Israel, and he can be found in the book of Numbers chapter 22.
