Description
"Tracks" is about following your dreams while focusing on the journey rather than the end goal. The song also features the importance of taking risks. The unique aspect of this song is presented in the whole 'train, Grand Central Station theme'. Trains are symbol of American antiquity. The tracks were laid down first, forging through unsettled terrain. And when the trains left, the tracks remained - a fossil of our past that symbolizes the means rather than the end.
Lyrics
Tracks Verse 1: Train’s a’ comin’ son, keep movin’ on Change a’ comin’ son, keep movin’ on Leave behind your fears and let’s ascend…free On the wings of restless dreams until we reach the end And when the walls come crashing down, I will be here We’ll chase this damn thing down Chorus: Because he who waits Will be forever lost inside Tear the walls down Behold your life But he who tries Will be the only one who knows How high, how high He can go Post-Chorus: And we always, always survive Yes we always, always survive Verse 2: All aboard she says, we’re fixin’ to go Gonna head out to some place nobody knows In your weakest time you just might think again…freeze Look past the rain and see, if you think, you can But when the tide come crashing down, I will be here We’ll run this dream on down Chorus: -Repeat-
