This song is one of the songs we wound up producing in a "hit-the-ground-running" approach I initially began recording all by myself over a 5-month period for an 8-track demo CD. When it came to writing stuff for the CD, it all stemmed from one of two things we all knew quite a bit about--love and relationships. Cinderflame is a song of just that topic, but quite different from the other things on the CD, as well.
