Kimi’s Coconuts Lyrics and Music by Greg Minier (aka Tre Deuce) Vocals and Instruments performed by Greg Minier (aka Tre Deuce) Well this economy sucks, you see I lost my job I cashed my last paycheck in, had to get out of this fog I took a trip to the tropics, I was lookin for some action Had to get away from it all, find some sort of satisfaction I checked into my hotel, walked straight to the bar It was only 20 or 25 steps, it wasn’t very far I asked this guy, “What are you drinkin?” He said, “Who me?” He said he had seven or eight of the bar tender’s specialty He said: “Kimi’s Coconuts, they might look pretty. But, they’ll sneek up on you and leave you feelin dizzy. All us guys at the bar, we’re gonna leave without a penny. We’ll be back tomorrow night and have way too many of Kimi’s Coconuts.” Well the bartender was so hot, I said, “Hey Kimi!” “This guy sittin next to me recommends your specialty.” She looked across the bar and said, “What do ya think fellow?” He said, “Hook him up with a pretty one with a pink umbrella.” The first one went down so quick, I asked for one more Before I knew what happened, it became three or four Then five, six, seven, eight, who cares, nine, ten I must have lost my count and started drinkin again I said: “Kimi’s Coconuts, they might look pretty. But, they snuck up on me and left me feelin dizzy, As I sat at the bar spendin every penny. I’ll be back tomorrow night and have way too many of Kimi’s Coconuts.” I worked up some nerve and asked if she would dance She said, “We’re closing up in 20 minutes, then you’ll get your chance.” I bellied up and took a seat, till I heard last call Made sure to order just one more and she poured it tall She closed up shop and said, “Let’s walk on the sand.” I said, “Hey babe, that sounds great. By the way, I love your tan.” Then off went her shirt, down went her skirt, and to my surprise My jaw dropped wide open when they hit me in the eyes Kimi’s Coconuts, they sure looked pretty In the bright moonlight in a string bikini She let ‘em all hang out, there was good and plenty I fell in love that night with Kimi, and Kimi’s Coconuts
