“I like telling stories through my music,” says Jones. Music lets me speak from the heart in a way that’s very personal to me. I believe my audience can relate to these songs because they are all real experiences that we all go through. It’s what makes us all human - these dreams and fears.” A good example of Jones’ story telling is evident on many tracks of Road Dreams especially “Journeymen” - the true story of her great-grandparents immigration to New York’s lower east side.
