Description

Major Tom was inspired by the self-examining works of David Bowie with his songs Space Oddity and Ashes to Ashes. Other artists such as Peter Schilling and Elton John have participated in this line of writing. Major Tom was thought out and created to be its own song while carefully paying homage to the great writers who gave him life. The song leans heavily on psyconautical exploration for its heavy, grooving tempo and almost trance-like lyrics.

Major Tom LYrics Intro Ground control to Major Tom... Ground control to Major Tom... Ground control to This is Major Tom, I'm fine, I'm moving towards the light. The ways become so clear, and I wish you were here. You can send my love, to whoever needs it the most. They've taught me all they know and time... time has disappeared. Verse 1 Well its a sick sense of reality that makes you dream of death. But i'ts kind of hard to wrap your thoughts around eternity when your mind burns like a lit cigarette. And it's a slow run to salvation. And a quick trip to the cross But if you find your peace along your journey to road of gold, then it feels like no big loss. Chorus Drifting high in the universe, Don't know what its worth, but its planet earth Sinking high in a sea of black Don't know where I'm at, I'm not coming back. Verse 2 Well its true you've got a pretty face, but looks only go so far. And it's kind of difficult to bet on your emotions when the stakes are raised to a broken heart. And its a long search to find honesty when lying pays so well. But if you're so quick to put the blindfold on a man who's been condemned, you should pull the trigger yourself. Chorus Bridge Here am i sitting in my tin can high above the world planet earth is blue and there's nothing I can do. and I know I'm never coming home to you. Chorus
