Lyrics
I remember my grandad say It aint like the good old days and I wondered what he meant...he said life's a movin way to fast you make a dollar, but it just wont last its harder earned and even faster spent...he said I wish you could see, the way things used to be, before everyting went crazy... Whatever happened to the good old days, workin hard, you made your way mondays came at the crack of dawn, and friday nights went way too long saturday made a cane pole, headed down to that fishin hole when sunday rolled around, we were lost then we were found, Its just the way it was, no need to change I know life moves on but I wish it stayed... like the good old days check the news theres nothin good nobody's actin like they should its such a fine line between love and war see that man out on the street, I don't know but it seems to me like we used to try and do a little more they say we've come so far, but I don't know where we are if we can't help each other out Whatever happened to the good old days, workin hard, you made your way mondays came at the crack of dawn, and friday nights went way too long saturday made a cane pole, headed down to that fishin hole when sunday rolled around, we were lost then we were found, Its the way it was, no need to change I know life moves on but I wish it stayed... like the good old days right and wrong was black and white, you held the door cause it's polite I guess it was just a different time... whatever happened to the good old days when all you needed was a hand shake cause you could see someone up to size just by lookin in their eyes we had a long way to go but you think we would grow from all the mistakes we made it was a simple time, yeah but that's ok I know life moves on, but I wish it stayed... like the good old days
