Lyrics

ETERNAL VACATION The alarm clock a ringin’ and its time to go to work Six o’clock a dead end job, my boss man is a jerk Now I’m drivin’ half blinded by the early mornin’ rays And I’m tryin’ to psych my spirit for another of them days. But I have got a trip planned and I’m goin off some day My troubles all behind me, I already know the way. Eternal vacation, gonna leave it all behind I’ll camp out in infinity, kick back and just unwind Eternal vacation, I hope all my friends are there No clocks or phones or traffic jams, forever, not a care. Well I put my car in line and I am headed through the fence. I park and walk, and as I walk my mind begins to tense. The job I started yesterday still waits beyond the door I finish up and send it like a hundred times before. Then I take a minute and my mind begins to stray It’s nice to know that someday I’ll be goin’ far away. Eternal vacation, gonna leave it all behind I’ll camp out in infinity, kick back and just unwind Eternal vacation, I hope all my friends are there No clocks or phones or traffic jams, forever, not a care. Well I’m lookin’ for the day when I can punch my final clock Eternity and all for free, there ain’t no sticker shock. Its paradise, I won’t think twice about troubles here below Don’t need no bags my ticket’s bought, I’m ready now to go. I’ve read up on my lit’rature His word I do adore Well I’m biding time until the time when time will be no more. Eternal vacation, gonna leave it all behind I’ll camp out in infinity, kick back and just unwind Eternal vacation, I hope all my friends are there No clocks or phones or traffic jams, forever, not a care.
