Description

Back in the 1940's my real dad wrote a song called "Love's Lost Highway". He was a singer, songwriter guitarist. I had his hand written copy of the song but couldn't find it years later so I wrote my own "Love's Lost Hiway" in memory of him. This is dedicated to my Dad ( Paul Edward Will ) Guitars,Bass, &Vocals/ Gary Will. Drums/ Guarmo Villas.

Lyrics

LOVES LOST HIGHWAY Now I had a girl. Thought I could call her my own. I bought her a house. Thought we would make it a home. I got her a car. But she drove it away. She took it down, love’s lost highway. How many girls? Did give true love to me? How many times I’ve been blind and I couldn’t see. To many times I’ve been lost, and never found my way. I left them behind and went down, loves lost highway. (CHORUS -1) Oh I miss my love. But she went too far. I put on my coat. To hide my lovelorn scar, will I ever know why she did me this way? And took my life, down love’s lost highway. Now there was a time I believed in everyone I knew. They’d tell me their lies and I, believed they were true. I gave them my trust, every night and day. But they took it down, love’s lost highway. (CHORUS -2) Oh I miss my girl. Why’d she take it so far? I’ll put on my coat, to hide my lovelorn scar, will I ever know, why she did me this way? And took my life down, love’s lost highway. Oh I had a girl, meant everything to me. I believed in her. She made me feel so free. I gave her my love. But she threw it away. She tossed it aside on, love’s lost highway. She tossed it aside on, love’s lost highway. Words & Music Gary Will © 2002
