Description
These lyrics were originally written as a contemporary version of one of Shakespeare's sonnets. It's essentially equating a light that flickers on and off inconsistently to a "tease" in real life. If a light is on, we don't find ourselves staring at it. If it goes on and off in a random sequence, we glance at it over and over and over and over....yeah?

this dim flickering keeps me confused and scared my eyes wanna turn away but hope keeps me there and i stareif darkness would envelope with dreams no longer a chance my eyes would surely close up and avert with no advance but no i stare at your not too bright a light which allows me to stare with unbelievable comfort no squinting from a glare and i stare the bit of light that teases me with every flicker here then gone gives an illusion of permanence like a beacon forever on and i stare if you’re not gonna shine don’t give me none of your time please stop confusing me with your kindness then silence and your… stop teasing me off and on i want a beacon forever on stop teasing me off and on i need a beacon forever on no i don’t wanna stare
