I wrote this song after listening to an interview on TV about Mary Chapin Carpenter. I had quit touring and was settling into a day job ... I felt burned out from music. I hadn't written a song in two years and after seeing the interview I grabbed my guitar and wrote the song in five minutes. Now it's one of my most requested songs when I play.
