Description
The title of this song is also a phrase that my girlfriend would say every now and then; only it relates to sadness as opposed to my other song "It Makes My Heart Smile". I was going through a divorce at the time it was written, so it was easy to come up with sad lines. My favorite line is "I'm Trying Hard To Understand What I Already Know."
Lyrics
I Could Cry For A Hundred Years Too much sadness, so much sorrow everywhere I go. I’m trying hard to understand what I already know. I could cry for a hundred years, don’t ask me why. I could cry for a hundred years to wash away the pain I feel inside. Too much heartache, so much regret and emptiness. I know I can’t go back where I came from and I can’t forget. You’ll never feel the way you use to feel. So much wasted time for nothing and foolishness. Sometimes I wonder if it’s all worth this craziness. So much anger and confusion and bitterness. I only hope that we’re strong enough to get over this Sometimes I wonder.
