About 4th Block
Midlothian, VA
Rakeia Martin (Rak.) Cory Jones (Jones.) and Fenton Bland (Fent.), together known as "4th Block," are an up and coming group out of Central VA. Established in late 2008, the group is already gaining a buzz throughout Richmond as well as the Tri-Cities. They began their musical endeavors their senior year of high school at the Appomattox Regional Governor's School for the Arts and Technology in Petersburg, VA, the only magnet school for the arts in that area. Their music is seen as diverse, ranging from club bangers and street anthems such as "Money" and "Supa Nice", to mellow ballads such as "Right Here", and even an upbeat pop sound found in "iLike". The group also has a newly founded entertainment division. In the summer of 2009, the three part "Beginning of the End Summer Jump-Off Series" will take place in various locations in Central Virginia. 4th Block is a young and energetic group with loads of potential and will undoubtedly make it big.
