6 Ball began as a heavy rock cover band in Anderson, S.C. in 2001, with Jay Gurley, Travis Ridley, and Travis Barksdale as founding members. Soon 6 Ball began to perform new original rock songs and became a huge hit with fans all over upstate South Carolina and North Georgia. After four years together and numerous failed attempts to record an album, 6 Ball disbanded in 2005. Since then it has become a dream for songwriter Jay Gurley to record "Choke On It", the 6 Ball CD. Finally Jay began work on the project in the early spring of 2011, and he decided to continue 6 Ball as an outlet for his heavy rock compositions in the future. Look for "Choke On It" this summer.
