BIOGRAPHY: Bourbon Highway is a great red-dirt/ southern rock band based out of Decatur, Arkansas with each member coming from different musical backgrounds in different parts of the Northeast Oklahoma/ Northwest Arkansas area. Brought together by factory work in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, it didn't take long for these guys to realize the dream of putting together a terrific band. After only a few brief days of talking about putting a band together, the band had already decided on the genre of music they wanted to play as well as a band name. Red-dirt music is already a great genre, however, Bourbon Highway has its own special spin on the style. Its music that makes you feel good: music that you want to listen whether driving down the highway or sitting at a bar or party while getting totally trashed, Bourbon Highway is the image and sound of great music! Following in the footsteps of red dirt greats: Cross Canadian Ragweed and Jason Boland and the Stragglers, and classic country-swing and southern rock artists, Bourbon Highway is helping pave the red dirt road of success. From strong, soulful blues-rock to soothing ballads, Bourbon Highway takes you where you want to be with their music. Bourbon Highway is a band consisting of members who all come from other bands with different musical backgrounds. Brought together through the job they were all working at the time, these three members were a match made in Heaven but they put on a Hell of a show! Members of Bourbon Highway are as follows: JJ Taylor, formerly of Infinite Sound Supply and The Captain and the Kid, fronts the band as lead vocalist and rhythm/lead guitarist; Isaac Spiva, formerly the bassist for The Last Two Fish and Project Bliss, rocks the bass guitar, and Reuben OField, ex drummer for Native Circle, beats the skins completing this great Red Dirt trio. These three talented musicians have over 40 years combined experience playing music. Busting out of the dirt in August 2011, Bourbon Highway is a promising new act joining the lineup of Red Dirt musicians already taking the country by storm.
