I.S.E.B.E.U.R.G On January 15, 1985 while living in one of Scarborough's notorious "hoods" a strong headed rebel Rasta woman gave birth to a baby boy we come to know as ISE. With siblings already ahead of his game it wasn't a surprise that this boy was getting respect from the older youths living on his block. The neighborhood he started out on was on Mc Cowan Road. It wasn't so much the neighborhood that had a reputation but the building where he lived as a child, simply known to many as 400. Before long ISE at the age of 5 years old along his family relocate on the southwest side of Scarborough in the projects of Cataraqui, a unique community made up of families living in townhouses.Cataraqui is the neighborhood where ISE discovered his negative and positive side. This complex artist, whose real name is Ishamar, got the name ISE from his first football coach. On an interview with ISE inquiring about his name and the history behind it he tells a story of his Scarborough Thunder football coach who actually gave him the name, "My first day at practice back in '97 we were running drills...I guess I was doing something right because the coach asked me what my name was...I gave him my name but he never heard me or he just couldn't pronounce it. He asked one more time than just said your name is 'Ice' and it stuck ever since." Ise would no longer stay solely on the field during football games but people who knew him could relate the name with his character and turned it from Ice to ISE. ISEBEURG wasn't satisfied with just being called ISEBEURG so he turned the letters into an acronym and turned the C in ICE to an S giving more meaning to name, I Starved Enuff Behold Endless Unique Raw Game is what he came up with. ISE realized then that he had many alter egos and came up with I.S.E.M.A.R.R (Marvel at Rigid Realness), DA I.N.S (Ignorant Nigga Starvin). As he got older other names stuck more than others such as Robin Hood of the Block obviously mentioning the crew Block13 who represent "Cat" street name for his block Cataraqui and most recently adding T-dot Lean to the list. ISEBEURG started discovering his other talent besides football it was his love and connection to Hip Hop culture. He started with freestyle rapping, and then gaining confidence to battle other locally respected MC's. In 1999 an affiliate rap group calling themselves G-CLICK (Grimey Cats Livin In Canadian K-os) was formed and that is when ISEBEURG eventually put his thoughts down on paper, he finally recorded a hot single. When asked who his favorite artist and music influences are ISEBEURG explains that, "It cannot be defined the list would be too long". But shortly admits the respect and influences of other very talented singers, rappers coming for his own block Cataraqui, Lil' Wayne, Nas and would not dare leave out the great legend Bob Marley. His favorite rap album is Gangster and a Gentleman by Styles P and admitting that his favorite rap artist is the late great Tupac Shakur. Besides rap ISEBEURG listens to mostly reggae and dancehall. “I was raise in a Jamaica household so reggae has been a big part of my life also My uncle Carlton has been in a reggae band for years...I love dat music 2 ross..lol." Ironically he also listens to rock heavy mental, classical music R&B and the list goes on. "On the real, I listen to any kind of music I think sounds good I am not bias when it comes to music". That being said ISE is asked which rapper artist he wish he can collaborate with his answer was not surprising, "Of course Pac that would be a hit for sure dead or alive R.I.P".Perfecting his art and making a name for himself ISE is ready with a new attitude and confidence for 2012. Swagger of his pinky ring salute ISEBEURG is currently working on ISEBERG TV, ISEBEURG DA MOVEMENT Vol.15, his first mix tape and also a solo mix tape which is soon to be named. Some clips from ISEBEURG TV can be found on YouTube with his music video T-dot Lean and interview with Torontorapper.com check it out at (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gnt0wgqpknA). ISEBEURG is also open to helping out fellow artists and wouldn't mind stepping aside and "ghost writing" he also looks forward to collaborating with the industry's best. He is also very excited about his independent label, “Block Movement Inc”.What makes ISEBEURG different from any other male out here today is the hunger in his eyes, his motivation, his family, his friends that have passed on and his children. “I honestly try to be different but so does everyone else...the way I see it is that I'm different from other rappers because I’m an individual who's been through things in my life that others have no clue of. “I've seen things that other haven't….so to answer that question I have to say my life experiences make me real compared to other rappers...I also think my mindset and what I'm willing to do to be successful separates me from the competition and I can't forget my lyrical skills I know I can rap and freestyle it out with da best of them". ISEBEURG would like the masses to know that he is real and serious about his music and anyone that wants to be a part of the ISEBEURG the movement should contact him A.S.A.P. "I would just like to add I thank God every day for being blessed with life through all the ups and downs I know I will make it, God is good”. “Isebeurg… Isemarr da I n S… I’m out. PINKY RING SALUTE"
