Independent Philadelphia artist Jay D Clark has worked on many different multimedia productions in over 15 years of working in the entertainment industry both at home and abroad. He is a writer, creator, producer, musician, singer, director, actor, and student of life, who honed his vast and varied production experience and knowledge while freelancing on crews for various music videos, television shows, movies, photo shoots, and commercials, between periods of intense screenwriting and songwriting. JDC's first record, Fall of the City, was co-produced with Chuck Treece (Bad Brains, Urge Overkill, The Roots, G Love, Billy Joel, Sting, McRad, Slightly Stoopid, etc).  JDC began touring in 2011, playing with different backup bands for almost every show. On the road he plays with bands from every region that he travels to. He's already played great stages like Sullivan Hall (NYC, NY), House of Blues (Atlantic City, NJ), World Cafe Live (Philadelphia, PA), The Note (West Chester, PA), Seacrets (Ocean City, MD), Bourbon Street Ballroom (Baltimore, MD), The Saloon @Music Factory (Charlotte, NC), Music Farm (Charleston, SC), Boat House (Myrtle Beach, SC), Nowhere Bar (Athens, GA), Adventure Island (Tampa, FL), State Theatre (St Petersburg, FL), and HarborWalk Village ampitheater (Destin, FL), DiPiazzas (Long Beach, CA), San Diego Convention Center (San Diego, CA) with many more to come.  Clark has finished and released his 2nd record: Intelligent Design, co-produced by legendary pro skater & musician Chuck Treece. Vibes like: Jack Johnson, Bob Marley, Sublime, Slightly Stoopid, Grateful Dead, Rebelution For this sophomore record, Jay D worked with established Philly-based musicians including Mark Carson (Three Legged Fox), Jay Davidson (Sly & Robbie, Maxi Priest), Jason Fraticelli (Matisyahu, Marco Benevento), Ray Pirre (Raggamuffins, Cultureal), John L Langsford III (McRad), Adam Flicker (The Brakes, Cultureal), Xande Cruz, co-producer and engineer Tony Flagiello (Raggamuffins) and Chuck Treece. JDC has played quality venues from coast to coast in the U.S. He’s shared the stage with or played  with members of bands like : SOJA, The Movement, The Wailers, Ballyhoo, Seedless, B Foundation, Supervillains, C-Money, Echo Movement, John Brown’s Body, Turbine, Jay Z, Lauryn Hill , The Lemonheads and  more.       Clark has been touring since 2011, gaining fans of all ages with his energetic, inspired shows. He often travels solo, playing with different backup bands to create new live versions of his tunes flavored uniquely by bands like Sun-Dried Vibes, Resinated, Burning Tree, Cheezy & the Crackers, Sidereal, Of Good Nature, Yamadeo, Domino Effect, TreeHouse!, and more. His soulfully sweet, strong vocals relate conscious, catchy lyrical hooks in universally accessible songs. His previous recordings still play on college, internet, and indie radio stations globally & he’s been featured on the internationally syndicated Coast to Coast AM radio show with over 3 million listeners nightly.
