Seldom is there an occasion when such forces, once independent of their respective genre, join to create such a rarity amidst musical monotony and trending perceptions of what is deemed acceptable by their peers. Just last year they were of little entertainment conversation relevance and sparsely recognized not to mention unformed as the live hip hop sensation they are today. Conquering such feats as immaturity, egos, skepticism, in addition to public scrutiny in so short of a time frame warrants the “destined for greatness” swagger and “favored” ideology shared faithful by LAH, Yahz, Evin, and Droid. To think that one friend’s birthday party request would lead to the one performance that ultimately led to the “approach of a lifetime” as LAH would call it. “The funny part is that Lee (LAH’s business manager) and I had already been trying to put a band together as well as peeping them (Yahz, Droid, and Evin) out prior to my original debut at the Lyceum,” says LAH. Now, months later, you have history in the making. Chasing a dream is an understatement for LAH LiVE, it seems more like they are preparing to walk right into super stardom and the so-called curse normal individuals coin “fame.” Especially considering the heavy shifts from the usual accompanied DJ and hype man show, to the shiny and stringy instruments and full set backline more and more venues are demanding for entry. Creatively they are unbound to time formats and permanent beat sequencing, however sustaining song integrity while introducing them live atop various familiar tunes is a wave of the future. “The only thing left for us is the pros,” states LAH LiVE. Having the city’s more coveted arenas under their belt the same takeover strategy is to be applied to the masses globally and marveled by all.
