Latifa Nicole Houston, also known as La La Houston, is a singer, songwriter, producer, actress, and dancer, originally from Philadelphia, PA but currently residing in Huntsville, AL. Growing up in a family where music and the love of music was evident, she developed a love and talent at a very early age. She started dancing and singing around the age of 5 and started writing her first songs in middle school. Throughout her school years she kept herself busy with extracurricular activities in the arts such as dance teams, theatre, and band where she played the flute. In September of 2012, she discovered an opportunity to join a dance crew with an up and coming hip hop artist and dancer Katybug. La La auditioned and was then made a part of the crew called Imyounique. The group has performed in music videos such as Katybug “Trendsetta remix”, and on major stages such as Bonner Brothers and The Weup Black Arts Festival. Her first single,”Electricity”, a duet with Tezz (Martes “Mr.Mixshow” Wynn), was released recently this month and La La not only sung, but also produced and co-wrote the track. She is currently working on her next single to be released next month.
