Inspired by influential hip-hop heavyweights such as Eminem, Lupe Fiasco, and Kanye West, Leon Legacy decided to take his long time hobby of writing to the next level in 2008, when he began recording songs in home studios throughout the central MA area as one of the founding members of local hip-hop collection called The Grand Arkanum. Inspired by influential hip-hop heavyweights such as Eminem, Lupe Fiasco, and Kanye West, Leon Legacy decided to take his long time hobby of writing to the next level in 2008, when he began recording songs in home studios throughout the central MA area as one of the founding members of local hip-hop collection called The Grand Arkanum. They quickly gained a steady local following by playing open mics, and sponsoring hip-hop events in their area, releasing two mixtapes which would go on to be downloaded several hundred times and receive press attention from local magazine The Pulse and the Worcester telegram and gazette online. Their popularity would eventually pave the way to new opportunities such as performing for the Worcester Father’s day, and Latin festivals, and Eventually to opening shows for such notable underground acts as  B.Dolan, M.C. Frontalot, and  Jam’n 94.5s Akrobatik In 2011 Leon legacy made his first venture into the world of the solo artists,  receiving rave local reviews and several hundred downloads for his first independent release “The story of Kid Ikarus: Flying with wax wingz”. His music represents the voice of a generation raised in the age of video games and the internet, using prevailing lyricism and clever storytelling to get his point across, he’s an up and coming force to be reckoned with in the hip-hop community.
