What happens when you mix Andre Benjamin of Outkast and Big Pimp of Dirty? You get Maniakt A. Fool.   Born as Brodney Mack, MAF was raised in the west-central rural area of Georgia known as Lincoln Park. Formerly known as Mack Bone and Maniak Mack, Maniakt name is derived from the words Maniac and Act A Fool, combine them and you get Maniakt A. Fool. MAF has a musical family background, with his great-grandfather being in a quartet, his great-grandmother and grandmother being in the choir, his mother being in the band, and his brother making beats. Coming up his older cousin would listen to Outkast, Goodie Mob, and Wu-Tang Clan. At a young age, MAF learned that lyrics were important in the music. His mindset always has been, “If you ain’t saying nothing, don’t say nothing!” When he was 10, his father died, this moment was life changing to him till the point where he began writing poetry. At the age of 12 he began to write lyrics of his own, but due to self-doubt, he never let anyone hear it until he was 14.  At 16, a long-time friend and mentor Kelvin “K-Dogg” Walker begin to teach him how to freestyle. MAF used to stumble over his words and used to give up easy but K-dogg taught him once phrase that he always keeps in mind, “Keep Going!” For the next couple of years, K-dogg put MAF through lyrical boot-camp, and even introduced him to his first group, Affiliated. The group consisted of childhood friends and family who got together to help each other improve on their talents. Affiliated soon merged into a music group out of Atlanta, GA called BlocStarr which contained members from all walks of live. When MAF was in Atlanta it was his first time recording in a real studio, this is where he learned studio etiquette. When MAF got news BlocStarr no longer existed, he linked up with a longtime friend. Kenyatta “Poppa Kane” Snipes and his label Roll Or Get Rolled Over Records released a mixtape called “Gift Of Gab: Lincoln Park Edition”. This was MAF first time ever being on a mixtape of any sort. After a few years after the mixtape was released MAF and a couple of friends started a group called W.U.T.T.U.P. S.Q.U.A.D. which stood for Worthy United Truly Trustworthy Unbreakable People of Superior Qualified Uncut Ambitious Desires. They dropped a mixtape with no cover but I was simply stated Wuttup Squad. There was little success on the mixtape but still, it didn’t discourage the group. After a few months, MAF linked up with his uncle Stanford “Snake D” Brown and became the Co-CEO of 2da3rd Entertainment. He and his uncle took two of their groups, and a solo artist, Wuttup Squad, Hood Star, and Black Hollywood. They collaborated and dropped the mixtape “Limited Edition”. Due to difficulties with business ordeals, Maniakt decided to go to Savannah. Once coming to Savannah, his step-father and himself came up with 100 Hunnit Gang Ent. So far he has done a song with one of the hottest artist in Savannah, Str8 G for the hit single “On Da Regular”. He just did the C-Port Cypher Vol. 3. Maniakt hopes to accomplish something no one has ever done before, remain true to themselves while being lyrical with subject matter. He hopes to bring a different point of view of the south and to the game.
