A young Pastor's son, Matt Norton had always dreamed of a professional music career; writing, recording, and producing his own music. At the young age of just twelve, Matt felt called to go into music ministry while attending the Creation 86 North East Music festival.  On the verge of what seemed like it might be his big break with Forefront Records In the early 2000’s, a life threatening infection settled into Matt's liver bile ducts confirming the diagnoses of a rare terminal liver disease called primary sclerosing cholangitis.  All hopes and dreams were put on hold while his family sought out the best hospitals and possible donors. By January of 2004 Matt had made a strong recovery from a perfect transplant, and started his dream multimedia Audio/Video production company, "Refining Fire Productions". With the help of his younger brother Tim, Matt once again returned to producing and performing music. But once again his dreams were dashed within just five short years. Stricken by a blood disorder known as “TTP”, Matt went into irreversible liver rejection, suffered near total loss of kidney function and temporary loss of sanity, barley escaping the jaws of death.  In 2008 Matt received a second liver transplant and after a month on dialysis experienced, an unexplainable improvement in kidney function rendering dialysis no longer necessary. Matt continues to experience a slow, steady, healing of his kidneys and improvements in general health for which he credits to the prays of his family, friends and fans all over the world.      With the average life expectancy of a transplant patient being only 20 years, and a total of no more than five transplants performed in a recipient’s life time, Matt knows he is living on borrowed time. A husband and father of three teenage children Matt never takes a single day for granted. Having already beat many odds and baffled his Doctors. setting new case studies; Matt remains hopeful and more determined than ever to achieve his goals with the release of his seventh full length self-produced album “Live To Sing The Joy Of A New Day”.
