With the online release of his latest single “Real Slow”, rising R&B star NorfStar, also known as Rayshawn, continues his journey to dominate soul music worldwide. “Real Slow” is critically acclaimed and highly anticipated with the local success of his 2006 smash hit, “Hood Pass.” From his Minnesota roots to the greater Los Angeles area, NorfStar is determined to achieve success in the music industry by offering his life experiences through his music, which he writes, performs, and produces. Launching his career as a member of group, B.A.D., in Minneapolis, NorfStar garnered the attention of renowned publicist, Regina Daniels, with whom they earned radio  airplay, and local recognition before heading to Los Angeles to pursue a solo career. The relocation offered an immediate return as NorfStar’s talent landed him a gig singing background on Tyrese’s ‘I Wanna Go There’ tour. After an inspiring experience on tour, he’d go on to land sporadic signing gigs, including performing for the late, incomparable Michael Jackson. After serving as an opening act for mega-acts like Lil Wayne, Eight Ball and MJG, Ginuwine, and more NorfStar decided it was time to branch out, develop his own sound, and adopt the independent artist approach. . In 2006, with the help of his brother, he started his own record company, Mega Hitz Entertainment, Soon after, his first EP was completed and “Hood Pass” debuted. Ever-ambitious, NorfStar continued to challenge himself and search for his truth within his music. Seeing his work come into fruition proved he could produce himself, but more importantly, he wanted his work to be honest and innovative.
