The Lost Keyes started out as a five piece band called the Justin Keyes Experiment in 2010 with Justin Keyes on Lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Ryan Best on Bass, Kyle Waterworth on Lead Guitar, Big Pauly Kay on Keys and backing vocals, Dale Robinson on Drums. Justin Keyes wrote the original songs "Malibu" and "Feening". In late 2010 Dale left the band and Kyle took over on drums, Big Pauly took over on lead guitar and they renamed the band to Dub in Public and began writing original reggae, cali and ska songs. In 2011 Justin Keyes moved away in early 2010 and the band continued as a trio until early 2012 after Big Pauly Kay moved away for a new job in the Jacksonville area where he formed a new label and trio called Wet Kneez.
