MAC BIO: Straight out of Northeast Los Angeles The Mac brings a new twist to the Hip Hop generation.......Great hooks and a killer live show...All set up to become a household name, Joey Puentes, also known as The Mac, is an up and coming Latin artist on the fast track to success in this unpredictable world known as the music business...The Mac was raised in the Northeast part of Los Angeles where gangs and drugs run rampant and rule the streets...When he was 9 years old his father walked out of his life, leaving his mother Cecilia to raise 6 kids on her own...His abilities first started to shine when he joined a music group called Da Blocks back in 2006 with a group of close friends...A year later the group decided to call it quits, but not The Mac, with music in his blood he decided to continue on as a solo artist...He put together his own team called "Heavyweight Movement" and through a mutual friend hooked up with Beehive and A.I. Productions where he was given an opportunity to record and show off his many talents...Those sessions produced his first full length solo album called "The Break Through" which is currently available through I-Tunes and on this website...The Mac also has two Mix Tapes out which have caused quite a buzz on the streets...Since dropping his album and Mix Tapes he's been out there promoting himself by doing a series of live shows including opening up for Warren G at The Key Club in Hollywood and various other L.A. Clubs including The Joint, Universal Bar & Grill etc...The Mac has said that all his accomplishments are dedicated to his mother Cecilia who has always been there for him and taught him to stay strong, be true to yourself and most of all, to never give up on your dreams...
