Lyri (Real Name: Wittney Myers) is a female lyricist hailing from the DMV area, moving throughout the area since a young child. Raised by her father, she had been writing songs since the age of 8, and started taking the aspiriation seriously in high school. Her influences come from her fathers' work ethic, her mothers' absence, and being raised around her uncles and cousins. She decided to record her music when she started attending Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University as a biochemistry major. She eventually dropped out, and came back to the DMV to become the first lady of one of the more known groups in the Woodbridge/Dumfries area named Fly 2 Deaf, which includes Rex McKinnis, Karl Flywalker, Yung Saad, T-Wreck, and Sincere Max. She had grabbed their attention because of her colorful word usage and ability to grasp concepts in unusual ways. She dropped her first self-made mixtape, Half N Half in October 2011 and recently dropped her new mixtape Burnout on Valentines Day 2012.
