2010 so far: Met Paul McCartney; opening shows for Larry Dunn (Earth, Wind, & Fire); Stevie Wonder got up on stage and performed; worked with a famous rap star; played private show along with Alan Bergman, writer for Barbara Streisand and Frank Sinatra. Working with a Grammy Award winning artist (Jay King - Club Nouveau); My songs have gone to #1 on several internet radio stations, have my music in a #1 TV show; writing for new AARON WOLFSON CD.

Currently works as a professional guitarist, performing concerts, and playing at private parties and events.  He composes and produces music for film and TV.  He is also a top private music teacher.

Presently writing and producing music for new network TV series.
As a film composer, Aaron's music is featured in "Purple Haze," the Sundance Grand Prize winning film, and worked on movie trailers for "Body of Evidence" (Madonna), "Groundhog's Day," (Bill Murray), and many more.  

He has produced work for network ABC television with Chris Mancini, MTV, and commercials for T. J. Martel Foundation for Cancer research.

As a recording artist Aaron first had success with his band "Aaron Wolfson & The Chemicals."  His song "Czechoslovakia," voted as one of the best new bands in Southern California by listeners of radio station KROQ 106.7FM.

His current CD, titled "AARON WOLFSON," has several #1 songs.  "DADDY'S GONE AWAY," #1 on NEIL YOUNG's website, "Living with War Today (videos).  And, "YOU CAN RUN BUT YOU CAN'T HIDE," #1 on

Aaron was first inspired by great British rock bands and American blues artists.  "I love any music that is done with real intelligence and passion."  He creates songs that are easy to listen to, with improvised guitar solos, giving the audience an experience of something real; that is being created in the moment." 

And, Aaron plays bass and keyboards as well, and is a producer in his own right.  He has an extensive catalogue and library of songs and music: Rock, jazz, country, blues, classical, and instrumental music.

Aaron studied at Musicians Institute (GIT), LA Valley College, The Dick Grove School of Music (a professional music school), studied with film composer Dr. Albert Harris, and at seminars at USC.  He studied guitar with Jimmy Wybol (Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys), John Collins (Billie Holiday; Nat King Cole; Dizzy Gillespie), Ted Greene (guitar master), and Charlie Shoemake (George Shearing).

Aaron has performed locally as well as internationally at: The Roxy Theater, The Whisky, Club Med Resorts, Hyatt Hotels, Hilton Hotels, Tangier, McCabe's, Malibu Inn, Platinum Live, Celebrity Center, Molly Malone's, Safari Sam's, Backstage Coffe Gallery, Kulak's Woodshed, Club Lingerie, Redondo Beach Pier, Valley College, Long Beach College, Ceritos College, UCLA, Trousdale Estates, Beverly Hills, Topanga Canyon, Encino, Palos Verdes, West Hills.

The first single "YOU CAN RUN BUT YOU CAN'T HIDE," has reached #1 on "Top Hits Rock Radio.

I wrote and arranged the songs; sang, played all the instruments; (except the drums which were played by Richie Onori; whose credits include: (Richie Sambora; Kelly Hansen; Glen Hughes).

I produced this CD with Dave Jenkins; whose credits include (Tori Amos; Elton John; Metallica). Dave engineered and mixed, We recorded at (Wine Cellar Studios). Mastered by Brad Vance at Red Mastering. Final edits and sequencing done with Brian Pateralski; whose credits include (Faith Hill and others).

The photos were taken by my friend Thomas Nordegg; who is Dweezil Zappa and Steve Vai's guitar tech. I did the artwork and layout in the Photoshop program. Richie's dog Nugel wanted to play with me the whole time we were recording; (which was sweet because my father had passed away fairly recently at that time).

Born in Los Angeles, AARON WOLFSON plays guitar on recording sessions for many top music professionals including

Jimmy Haskell - music arranger for (Sheryl Crow); Michael Masser - producer for (Whitney Houston); David Paich (Toto); John Jessel (Toto & Van Halen); Shirly Brewer (Stevie Wonder); Mike Kowolski (the Beach Boys), Joe Travers (Duran Duran), and Peter Rafelson (Madonna; Elton John; Britney Spears.)


Aaron peforms live with his band, and solo. His guitar based, rock music is inspired by the Beatles, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, and U2. His guitar playing style is influenced by Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck, Carlos Santana, and George Benson. (Aaron's band also plays jazz music.)

We recorded digitally using some Neve mic preamplifiers, and some rare German Telefunken compressors and EQs (the type the Beatles used). We also used a red Marshall amp from the Howard Leese, the guitar player from Heart, a Carvin Legacy amp borrowed from Steve Vai; Eventide 3000 Harmonizer, some vintage Fender Teles and P-Bass, Ovation and Taylor acoustic guitars, a Jackson strat, an E-Bow, Line 6 Pod; a Randall Commander 100 watt amp that Doug Messenger, guitar player from Van Morrison turned me on to; a Roland 3000 delay, a Digitec RP 100; Shure, ATA, Rode mics.
