Biography

Hailing from the filthy streets of the Chicago suburbs, Act Of Destruction came to exist in mid-2005 as two souls hell-bent on creating a purely insane blend of metal. At the beginning, the two founding members, John Bravo and Jim Disbrow, recorded two demos which really weren't as good as they had hoped. The two realized they wouldn’t go very far with just the two of them and a drum machine with only a handfull of patterns. They played a couple of parties and put on an impressive stage show complete with an evil stage set design and John shredding whilst his axe was set ablaze and later destroyed at the end of the set. Neither of them knowing anybody willing to join their path of destruction, Jim left the band to pirsue different musical aspirations. Starting from scratch once again, John recorded 2 new albums worth of material and begun the tiresome process of recruiting. Nigel Bravo replaced Jim on bass duties. Six guitarists came and went before accepting Keith Pedziewiatr as the new addition to the sonic force. Five drummers were also declined, three of them being very unreliable and the other two just not fast enough for the speed Act Of Destruction requires. So the search continued until Glenn Mendoza was discovered through Myspace. Now with a solid lineup, Act Of Destruction exists solely to bring you nothing but the best metal this world has to offer. The band has a brutal maturity that reaches to the depths of the dark ages, though still in their teens. This new sound in metal is achieved by combining a catchy structure with melodic themes despite being complex and fast. They are an actual band that plays actual songs, with bite. Think “Sonic Destruction.” They have played alongside a growing list of many national and international touring acts including Deicide, Dying Fetus, Vital Remains, Keep Of Kalessin, Moonspell, Carcass, Black Dahlia Murder, Tyr, Eluveitie, Alestorm, Kataklysm, Divine Heresy, Suidakra, Mobile Deathcamp, Adrift, Suicide Silence, Secrets Of The Moon, Order of Ennead and Psycroptic. Will your town be the next to lie upon the Path Of Destruction?
