At current, Agape Love is working on their first single slated for release late 2011. Agape Love group members are all siblings - Nanci (17), Beatrice (15) and Baby Rae (12). There’s the bass, sax, piano, violin, drum kit, organ, French horn, trumpet, flute, clarinet and guitar.
Each play a dizzying combination of several of the before mentioned instruments as they perform for churches, after hours business meetings, gospel concerts, plays, conferences and various other venues where doors are opened. Agape Love covers contemporary artist including Louis Armstrong, Sounds of Blackness, The Clark Sisters, Frankie Beverly and Maze, Dizzy Gillespie, Bill Withers, Alicia Keys and many more. The girls have traveled across the United States and Europe.
Nanci is a master French horn musician. She is the principle French Horn for Buckhead Youth Orchestra, former principal horn for the Dekalb Youth Symphony Orchestra in Dekalb County, Georgia. She toured Italy with the Orchestra in 2008. Nanci also arranges most of their songs and writes the sheet music for all of the instruments when they perform. Nanci is a gifted musician, composer and arranger. She participated in the 2nd Annual Composer’s Concert for North Spring Charter High School and played in the pit crew for the play “The Producers”. Nanci plays French horn, Piano, Keyboard, Organ, Drums, Bass, Saxophone and Trumpet
Beatrice is the consummate Fusion Jazz/Gospel Saxophone professional. Beatrice participated with the University of Georgia Jazz Camp. She is the former Saxophone section leader for Towers High School Marching Band. Beatrice was first chair Saxophone at Bethune Middle School and Towers High School. She is a trained pianist but is at home with the Saxophone. Beatrice performed with Sinfo Nia Orchestra of Atlanta and Orchestra Atlanta Jazz Camp. Beatrice marches with the North Springs High School marching band and arranges songs for the band director. Beatrice played Alto Saxophone for the play “The Producers”. Beatrice plays the piano, Alto Saxophone, Clarinet, Flute, Organ and Keyboard.
Rae Baker is a budding master, classical Cellist. Rae auditioned and was accepted into the Dekalb School of the performing arts. She auditioned as a rock guitarist and transitioned to the Cello. Rae is the first chair for Sandy Springs Middle Charte, cellist with MYSO (Metropolitan Youth Symphony Orchestra), Fulton County Honors Orchestra, former first chair Saxophone for Canby Lane Elementary School Band, first chair Cellist for Dekalb Elementary School of the Arts. She was also selected to play in the county Honors Orchestra as a cellist. Rae plays the Cello, Electric Bass, Lead guitar, drum kit, Alto Saxophone.
