Carefully crafting and weaving tales into each of their songs makes it so there's always something for someone. In short Alas, the Ocean's music is all about emotions and feelings that every person goes through in their lives. Alas, the Ocean is a relatively new band on the indie music scene, but their small town roots are slowly helping them get their name out around the world. It started as a solo project with Arvin Rapadas, who chose the name Alas, the Ocean as an parody of his location which is in the middle of Alberta. After a couple months Jacob Lequiere was recruited and the two tried playing together, but complications arose and Jake had to eventually leave the group, returning it back to the solo project it was.
