Altneuband formed in 2007 in Tel Aviv by Nir Lichtig. Alt (old) because Nir Lichtig (Piano, Lead Vocals) writes songs for almost two decades. Neu (new) because it's the first time it's being transmitted to the world. Alt because Ithamar Eshpar (Bass, Backing Vocals) and Nir are playing together ever since early 90's. Neu because Oshik Nizry (Drums)and Yamit Stefansky had joined them only recently and made it sound like they have been there from the beginning. Alt because Yaniv Ickovitz and Nir are childhood buddies. Neu because they bumped into each other in a Tel Aviv street after 10 years.
