A nurse-turned-musician, Amber began her music career in 2004. Prior to pursuing her musical dream, she worked as a nurse in the remote villages of the Dominican Republic and Alaska. Inspired by the stories and experiences she encountered, she began song writing. She discovered that music could transcend culture and language barriers and foster healing and social change. Since 2004, she has released two full-length albums, and her third album, funded by fan support, will be released in June 2010. She was the "Up & Coming Artist of the Year" in the 2007 Tucson Area Music Awards, and placed second out of 100 bands in the California-based Winery Music Awards. She tours nationally, performing solo or with her band; and speaks at conferences and colleges on the topic of "Music as a Healing Art and Instrument for Social Change."
