Andre Suede, (Andre’ Hatcher) was born in Cook County Hospital on the West side of Chicago, Illinois. The fourth child out of five, sacrifice was a lesson quickly learned. The Hatcher family spent their early years together in the basement of Grandma’s house. Seeking a drastic change from the violence and way of life they knew on the west side of Chicago, the family relocated to Austin, Texas. Moving to Texas was a chance for a new start. The family became deeply involved in the church as Andre’s father became an ordained minister. The experiences the family would encounter, unfortunately pulled them away from the church, but never losing faith in God. The high school years proved to be a very trying time for Andre, being kicked out of school for possession of a firearm during his freshman year. By his senior year, Andre had developed a reputation already having served time for delivery of a controlled substance. After high school, not having a plan, Andre ended up in prison and served time from 1997 - 2000. . A former honor student, poet and short story writer Andre started writing music while in prison. Returning home, Andre dedicated his self to his family which consisted of 4 children and a wife. In 2006 after returning to Austin from Virginia, Andre began the “Invest in Yourself Movement“. Enrolling back in school to gain his degree in Commercial Music Management, Andre invested in his own studio where he could work on his craft. Some of Andre’s influences include Street Military, K-Rino, Point Blank, the late great Pimp C and many other underground rappers out of Texas. Andre’s mission is to arm individuals with the knowledge to recognize the real, having lived it. Not one to preach, Andre gives a raw and uncut version of the truth. “They feel me because I look, think and live like we ,”Andre Suede.
