Recording artist Angelique Henle is an incredibly talented musician, singer and songwriter whose music is riveting and soulful. Beginning with her introduction to the piano at age 5, then the violin and guitar, Angelique fell in love with every aspect of musical expression. By age 16 she was composing her own music and lyrics.
In between recording sessions and auditioning potential band members, Angelique has been performing acoustic shows at a variety of different venues and events throughout the Baltimore/Annapolis region. Angelique has performed in more notable venues such as: Rams Head Live Concert Hall, Bourbon Street and was this year's headliner for the the 2009 Maryland Special Olympics Summer Games Opening Ceremonies at the Towson Arena and is slated to perform for the 2010 Plung-a-Palooza Polar Bear Plunge for Maryland Special Olympics where attendance is expected to exceed 20,000.
Angelique has received radio and television airplay on Baltimore's 98 Rock WIYY, WRNR and TV WBAL and is currently in the studio recording her newest cd “Photograph” which is scheduled for release in Early 2010. Angelique's amazing musical talent has not gone unnoticed as she has been signed to premiere East coast indie label, Kabunk Records in July 2009! Kabunk Records and their artists each 'give back' by donating 5% each of their net profits to charitable causes.
Angelique’s folk-rock style of music has been compared to that of Jewel, Sarah McLachlan and Missy Higgins, all of whom have influenced and inspired her over the years. With her passion for music and life, Angelique’s songs are meaningful; having been written from her own experiences, with stories we can all relate to.
