Anthony Sica grew up on Staten Island, NY. Weened on Bob Dylan, The Beatles, The Who, Led Zeppelin, RUSH, KISS and Pink Floyd, He started playing drums and singing at 13. By the age of 16, he was hitting the skins and crooning in front of hundreds of people a month. After attending College, he was hitting the skins in an 80s alternative cover band in front of hundreds of people a week. When he stepped out from the kit to front the seminal Central FL Rock band, Sweatbox, he was singing to thousands a night, live and on the radio. Warming up crowds for the likes of Matchbox 20, The Roxx Gang, Bullet Boys, Doubledrive, Sevendust, Molly Hatchet and Badfinger was a professional thrill. But when Sweatbox came to a halt, it was time for Anthony to pick up the guitar and literally play for his life. Thriving as an all-original Singer-Songwriter/solo artist ever since, Anthony moved back to NYC to play legendary clubs such as CBGBs and the Bitter End and continue his work as an Entertainment journalist/Graphic Designer...and he did both with great success. And even as he returned to Florida to the position as the studio vocalist and bass player for the rock band he founded in 2003...Luna Dementia and the hugely successful classic rock cover band, The Inner Void, Anthony's solo material still thrives like no other musical endeavor. With countless originals now being used by NY area indie filmmakers and other commercial projects, this is singer-songwriter/drummer/guitarist/artist Anthony Sica...reborn an outlaw poet...bent on serving the songs he writes, while exorcising the aural demons that possess him. Metaphorical yet confessional Dylanesque songs about angels, devils, rogue priests and priestesses, aliens, tarot readers, gypsies, carnivals, cowboy angels, gunfighters, witches, sorcerers, harlots, mavericks and outlaw poets like himself. Bittersweet Beatlesque melodies, lush vocals, gothic imagery, heartbreaking hooks, righteous rock riffs and haunting hymns are all part of Anthony's sonic sermon...part Cosmic American, part British Invasion, preached nightly from the corner of Positively 4th Street! Amen...
