In recent years, the loyal fans and supporters of the local Orlando scene have seen their favorite bands/musicians rise from local to national domination. It is because of the hardwork, dedication, and loyalty of these true fans(and bands of course!), that we have been able to give our great city the recognition it deserves. That is only the beginning, as each year passes a new generation of musicians and bands converge onto the streets of Downtown Orlando and surrounding areas filling clubs, bars, and small venues full of die hard supporters something to fresh and exciting.
Hailing from Ocoee, a small suburb of Orlando, Arcade Assault is a talented group of young musicians constantly working to make their mark in the legacy of the Orlando hardcore scene. Comprised of Zach(lead guitar,ex. Seraph) & Wayne Peeler(Drums, ex. Seraph), Corey Chancellor(lead vocals), Dexter Allen(Synth/Keys, ex. Kids Bearing Arms, Electric Breakdown), Steven Sanders. and Steve Johnson(bass guitar, ex. another broken promise), Arcade Assault is an dangerous combination of heavily hardcore influenced aggressiveness and melodic, catchy, "feel good" vocals reminiscent of the early days of skate punk.
In recent months, the band has found themselves spending majority of their time at their home base in Ocoee, locked in a small rehearsal room writing new material and preparing to record their first release mid August 2009. Already building a strong foundation, the band is set to make their live debut Thursday July 30th with a small intimate show at the Hot Topic location in West Oaks mall(See flyer for details!!). The band feels that this is the perfect setting to introduce themselves to the Orlando scene(and the world!), and will allow already loyal supporters to see the band upclose and personal.
