Article 19 is a band originating out of Hartford, Connecticut, comprised of five individuals that each bring their own unique style to the table. Article 19 is a band originating out of Hartford, Connecticut, comprised of five individuals that each bring their own unique style to the table. Each of the members have been active performers with previous and very successful bands, coming together to merge sounds and create a unique blend of pop/rock fused with heavy influences of groove and funk. Three of the members, Rick Fritsch (rhythm guitar/keyboard), Doug Parkinson (bass), and Jim Townsend (drums), have been performing together since 2007. In 2008, Brett Wilson joined ARTICLE 19 as lead vocalist. Dan Fortin was added as lead guitarist in 2010. Their talents together named A19 "Best New Group" as well as "Best Pop/Rock Band" in the 2008 Hartford Advocate Grand Band Slam. Reclaiming the title of “Best Pop/Rock Band” in the 2009 Hartford Advocate Grand Band Slam, Article 19 was also named “Best Band” by its readers. Each band member has won numerous awards in their respective categories over the years as well. Article 19 has performed at some of the Northeast’s most premium venues including: Mohegan Sun Wolf Den, XL Center, Toad’s Place, Kenny’s Castaways, The Webster Theatre and Six Flags Parks. The band has also shared the stage with National acts, such as: Hanson, Ryan Cabrera, N.E.R.D., We the Kings, Boys Like Girls, Flo Rida, The Veronicas, Streetlight Manifesto, Big D. and the Kids Table, Kris Allen, O.A.R., and Lady Gaga. Throughout their energetic live performances they are able to maintain musical integrity and clarity through combining many styles of music. In 2009 the band released their debut EP titled “Look At Me Now” which encompasses all these styles. As a dynamic, passionate, and well-rounded
