Live life as you go, while the guys of As I Go, do the same. Their name is significant of their way of life, and how they handle their business. From their improvised lyrics during live shows, to their genre traversing music, they just do everything as they go. This alternative band throws in pop, punk and hardcore twists in their music, resembling Taking Back Sunday and The Used’s sound. This Pennsylvania based band is composed of a close group of friends ranging in age from 18-20. James Hoegerl is the lead singer and rhythm guitarist, Rob Nedley plays the bass, Brett Bernola is the lead guitar player and back-up singer/screamer, and Ryan Catalogna mans the drums. They’ve been in bands together since the age of 12, and have only been getting better ever since. Although some may perceive their lyrics as a bit depressing, their music is actually uplifting and has a positive message. They hope their fans are able to relate to their music, the way they relate to their influences’ work. “Whether it be musically or lyrically, we want our fans to embrace our messages, whatever they are.” As I Go have been working on their debut EP "We Won't Find Things We Don't Hunt." Although they are anxious to get their EP out, financial gain is not their main concern. “We play for the pure rush of being on stage and playing together as friends.” The guys are anxious to play at as many live shows as possible, and are currently working on their EP.
